Gray gloom
So I didn’t really realize how gloomy our weather has been until I saw an article about how we barely saw any sunshine in November here in west Michigan. 😂 The sun literally peaked out the other day while I was at work… and I was like ooh! And then it went right back to gray gloom and doom, haha. Oh well, I honestly do love gloomy weather, but I would definitely take a nice sunny day right about now just to switch it up! We snapped these photos on Thanksgiving at my mom’s house, where I lived in high school. Definitely felt very autumn through the holiday, which I love. As soon as December rolls around, I’m ready for snow! But we’ve had a mild month so far, and are waiting on our white Christmas. So we’ll see! Either way; I mean, a month without snow in Michigan… can’t really complain… 😬🤷♀️
Okay outfit deets! This Cropped Alpaca Cardigan is one of my first three items from Everlane! I’m so excited. I’ve really liked this brand for a while, but haven’t taken the plunge on ordering anything yet, but now I’m definitely a fan. So one of my favorite styles right now (which I’ve mentioned here on the blog before) is cardigans as sweaters! This one is more of a crew neck when buttoned, but you can def unbutton for a lil’ more skin. It’s suuuuper duper cozy too, but it has a plush, airy feel. Super light feeling! So a few things I’ve learned… alpaca is awesome! It’s less prickly, longer-lasting, and resists pilling. And it’s better for the environment!
Hm, what else is new? Not much! Just trying to enjoy December with the busy-ness of the holidays! I made a huge dent in Christmas shopping on Saturday — mostly ordered everything online, which is easier than running into a million stores + dealing with people, lol. I just need to run out and get a few more things, gift cards, and do all the wrapping but I should be good! I always wait until the last minute, but my goal has been to have everything all said and done and wrapped at least one week before Christmas. So we’re only like a week away from that. OMG how is this month going so fast?! Otherwise I have a cocktail night with the girls tomorrow, lots of FLEX classes (feeling so good there right now!), my work holiday party coming up. I’m excited. This month is lit. 🎄 Literally. 😂 #momthatsnotamomjoke Okay, see ya soon! xo
