Work holiday party

Last weekend, I had my work holiday party! It's annually held at the country club and we always have the best food. Everything was so good this year too. Twice baked potatoes, stuffed chicken, veggies, salad, rice, pasta with pesto sauce... and don't even get me started on the desserts! The ice cream pie was just insane. I love spending time outside of work with colleagues. I seriously adore everyone I work with... and it's just wonderful to see everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. I always love getting to see everyone's spouse too, and the white elephant game is so much fun. We usually all die laughing. This year, it was over a cardboard cut-out of one of the partners at work. So funny. Eric ended up with a cowboy style hat that he was super excited about!

I had a vision of my holiday outfit months before the event. Gold dress, red heels, black tights, with red lips and a top knot. Well, I accomplished about 75% of that! I ordered the most darling red t-strap heels, but they were sent in the wrong color, so I had to last minute pull out my red flats. And I just had my hair done and straightened, and it was too smooth to go up into a knot! I know, woe is me, right? It just wouldn't stay up! But I ended up loving the dress I picked. It was really comfortable and yet dressy. The sweetheart neckline under the gold lace was my favorite part.

Eric recently got this bow-tie and he pulled it off so well! I'm loving his style lately. He has a bunch of staples he sticks with - like rolling up his pants, wearing bright colored knit socks that always show (love that!) and lots of dark jeans and cardigans lately. Super cute. I always get so excited when he loves shopping as much as I do... and getting dressed as much as I do. He's like my gay best friend and boyfriend all in one. Did I tell you guys that we both bawled at the finale of Glee's last season? Yep. And did I tell you guys that our gay waiter this past weekend leaned over to me and whispered that Eric was really cute? Haha, I loved that.
