We're on the final few days of autumn! Most of the trees have lost their leaves. It's so sad driving down the highway! I know winter doesn't officially start until the end of December, but it sure feels close. It's been so cold outside! I've been bundling up in all of my winter gear, and we're supposed to get snow soon. I still have a few more autumn ideas I need to get out of the way before Thanksgiving… but after that, bring on winter and the holidays full-force. I want a white Christmas this year!
I was supposed to post my third (and final pre-outfit) post for Frances Jaye today, but we had the most insane weather this weekend. There was flash flooding on our street, tornado warnings and the wind was crazy. We were stuck inside most of yesterday, but we managed to sneak out for a little holiday party and drinks with Samantha Pleet! It was a totally magical, and inspiring evening. Samantha and I got dressed up in a few of her pieces, ran around the hotel with Eric, snapping photos and exploring. It was quite surreal!
I recently received this camera bag from Lalamagic! I've been on the hunt for one for a while actually. This one is really cute, and simple. Plus, I love the bright mustard color! It has the velcro divider inside, so I can separate my camera/lens. And Eric doesn't feel totally girly carrying this one around. Next on my list is a new lens. Eric and I recently read through an online photography e-course on lighting that was really helpful! We're excited to experiment more this winter with photography. I'd also love to attend a hands-on workshop, so if anyone knows of a good one in Grand Rapids, let me know!
I hope your Monday was a great start to the week! I got my hair cut today and I got quite a bit taken off. It feels really great. It was feeling so weighed down and blah lately. I felt like I could never keep a curl in it and it was getting really hard to style. Now, Eric and I are just playing catch up on Breaking Bad. We're on the third season and it's getting so intense!
