Monet Garden of Muskegon

Spring is blooming in West Michigan! 🌸 I was really excited to head downstate for the week… to see the blooming trees, tulips, but it’s always just such a surprise to experience it all. Everything is so greeeeeen! It’s exciting. We’re starting to see some budding trees and flowers in the Upper Peninsula, but it’s nothing like this right now, so it’s wonderful to be able to come down here, stay with family, catch up with friends, and experience spring spring! I headed over to the Monet Garden of Muskegon to snap a few pictures with this pink blooming tree. It’s an adorable little pocket park in downtown Muskegon, inspired by France’s famous Giverny gardens. It was transformed from a vacant lot, and has a little replica of the famous Japanese bridge from Giverny, painted in its signature color. An adorable spot to check out the fish pond, sit on a bench or take some photos!

Keeping it simple in this outfit… which is my go-to lately anyway. 😉 These jeans are my favorite Levi wedgie fit, the color is Christina if you’re interested. I have these jeans in like… four or five different colors, and they all fit differently, which is just weird, but I really do love all of them. Not a ton of stretch, but just gooood classic jeans. And I picked up this v-neck ribbed top from Target late last summer, I wish they had more of them, but I linked a similar option below. But yeah, wild to be out and about with no jacket?!?! And it’s nice to bust out some flats, no socks, just… yeah, I’m excited! I hope to do a little bit of shopping when I’m down here, since it’s such a treat, sooo many stores and options, gotta love the U.P. but sometimes clothes shopping can be a little limited!

So yeah! It’s been a wonderful west Michigan week so far down here. I got to spend time with my Dad, he helped me clean my car and fix some peeling paint that was bugging me for years, and then went to visit my Mom and sister for Mother’s Day, which was lovely! Otherwise, just trying to soak up spring, visit as many flowers as possible, eat all of my favorite foods I can’t get in the U.P., hit up my favorite shops, and squeeze in all the friend time/hangs I can before I head back up! It’s always lovely being down here, and it’s always lovely going back home too. Feeling pretty grateful in this season of life right now. Plus I get to experience two springs, when it hits in MQT, and we have lilac season… swooooooon! Alright alright, I’m done chatting your ear off. Have a good one! I’ll be back with TULIPS next! Weeeee. 🌷 (OH ALSO, if you’re viewing my blog in Google Chrome, I’m sorry the fonts are jank, I’ve tried every fix in the world today, and I’m hoping Google just fixes it itself because it’s literally a Google font that won’t load. Anyway… oof.)
